Update on Artomatic and then some...
Unfortunately, I can't seem to be able to post my photos from AOM. Anyway, its been a week and i think I've seen every floor (barely though.) Dave and I worked our volunteer shift on FRI night at the Electric bar on the first floor. We were not able to be at our space for Meet the Artists night- only able to be there after 10 pm.
I returned SAT night 5/17 with my sister and young friend and while only there a short time, managed to bump into some old friends. (oh, the lounge on the 10FL is quite comfortable- like all the lounges i guess, and people were very friendly too- nice place to hang out and take a break...)
Then, did go for the Artists Social on SUN night, and spent some time w/my friend and fellow Artomatic exhibitor Jean Barrett.
Looks like there is going to be a cardboard creation competition/race at Artomatic- on June 1, 2pm...(interested people should contact ferro.sal@gmail.com)
Reminds me of the OLD Washington District of Cardboard show at WPA...in 1983.
I started to list some of my picks, but thought it would be a shame to leave people out...so, i just recommend several visits at AOM to find your own.
I am working w/George Koch to do a tour for deaf and hard of hearing individuals at AOM- this probably will not happen until June.
It looks like this is going to happen later this week- I'm working w/my collaborating teacher at Potomac ES to exhibit childrens' art from my mixed media art residency (in April) at the Potomac Library.
