Article in Potomac Almanac
This is cool! Please check out the article in the Potomac Almanac about my recent artist residency at Potomac Elementary School. The art was on exhibit at the library with a special art opening on WED June 4th. (this was the night of the terrible storm, w/many power outages and hazardous driving.) I went to the library that night- taking detours, etc, and was so surprised by the turnout. Many families, grandparents, babies were there for the childrens' art opening. The kids and parents were very excited about the show. And, after my crazy drive there, I talked to the reporter. So, here's the link to his story!
I was fortunate to have a great collaborating teacher- Ms. Joyce Bishop, and was welcome into her classroom with enthusiastic kids. At the library, Ms Bishop handed me a stack of thank you cards the kids made which are so great! I have them with me and share w/others!
