Have spent my spare time in Virginia registering voters at the university. Its exciting to be with the students, raising awareness about the election and always a great feeling to register new citizens. (Or for people who have been citizens for several years and had never registered.)  I've been joined a few times with friends (and once w/Rigel and Daisy). Reserving Thursdays for painting. Last week had a 'Paint Date' with my friend and fellow artist Shanthi Chandra. This week I started a painting which is similiar to "Trials and ..." But lots bigger and this time on tar paper. I am preparing for a large artist residency involving classroom doors.  Will also be meeting in Southwestern Virginia soon to work out more details on my residency in the Spring.

Next Sunday, I will be hosting a postcard writing event for women to write their own message to undecided women voters. Went to one last Saturday which was very positive, inspirational and great to be w/like-minded people. http://my.barackobama.com/page/event/detail/gs79rj
