Next week I'll be able to post a picture of the Mixed Media Kitchen Cabinet Door installation at Greenwood Elem. School, in Brookeville, MD. Dave will be working w/me to install the 57 cabinet doors which were created by the fifth grade. Most cabinets are the result of two students collaborating. There are four classes- so, alittle more than 100 students. The residency started in early February and I met w/each class for 2 1/2 hours. Teachers worked with students ahead of time on their poems/haikus. The theme is SEASONS.  Students incorporated their haikus and drawings into a mixed media painting using recycled kitchen cabinet doors as a base. Community Forklift was very generous to donate the doors for the legacy project. http://communityforklift.com/



Well, in a few min. i'll be off to meet the babies---- my two new great nephews. (they're cousins, not twins).

I have a few residencies I'm working on....and need to prepare for a two week residency at a high school in Southwestern VA.  I will be sure to explore nearby...Roanoke, VA (looking forward to new territory.
