Yes, today is the day. I am also thrilled to see that the Washington City Paper is promoting Artomatic (10th anniversary) with their Artomatic Manual- with Artist Profiles.  Artists were invited to submit their experiences w/Artomatic for the blog, and I was chosen for the first Question and Answer, as reported by Christine Ernest.

Today I am wrapping up the Heroes and Leaders in Mixed Media artist residency at Glenallan Elementary School. We will be exhibiting the students' art at the Wheaton library, beginning June 8th. Kids went full speed ahead with the coffee grounds/and acrylics, gel medium for texture. The Gazette is going to have a story about the residency. I have been SO fortunate to have a GREAT assistant to work with these past few days- especially helpful distributing paint, and in the portables (w/no sink...and no water!) Elizabeth Porter (graduating senior) has helped me with other art sessions. Her love for the kids and art is obvious.  see you at Artomatic!
